What to Expect During a Mobile Notary Appointment

Hiring a mobile notary should feel simple and stress-free. Here’s what clients can expect when working with Legacy Seal & Sign.

Before the appointment:

  • Do not sign the document beforehand

    • Signatures should only be made in the presence of the notary

  • Bring a valid government-issued photo ID

    • This is the most important item to bring, as the notary's primary duty is to verify your identity.

  • Be prepared to answer questions

    • The notary may ask if you are signing the document willingly and are aware of its contents.

At the appointment:

  • Notary verifies your ID

  • Notary confirms individual(s) willingness to sign the document

  • Notary will review the document

  • Notary witnesses the signature(s) or administers an oath

  • Notary completes the notarial certificate

  • Provide copies or scans upon request

After the appointment:

  • The document is now notarized and is considered officially authenticated

Why It Matters:A professional notary protects your identity and ensures your documents are legally valid.
